The next meeting of BikeWalkSolana, the Solana Beach Active Transportation Committee,  be held on Tuesday, April 12, 5pm at City Hall. This is a special meeting, public encouraged to attend, to discuss details of the upcoming work on Valley and Stevens Avenues.

The City of Solana Beach will be making a presentation about the Stevens/Valley Avenue Corridor Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvement Project at BikeWalkSolana’s next monthly meeting.  Please come see what the City is planning and provide your valuable comments on what is proposed. 

Project Description: The City of Solana Beach will enhance the use of the existing roadway for all users by reducing the number of lanes on Stevens/Valley Avenue in order to provide for bike lanes along all of Stevens/Valley Avenue; construct sidewalks in missing locations; provide enhanced crosswalks; construct curb ramps consistent with current standards; and provide traffic calming features. 

National Bike to School Day, Wednesday May 4, 2016

National Bike to School Day provides an opportunity for schools across the country to join together to celebrate and to build off of the energy of National Bike Month.  BikeWalkSolana is partnering with the Solana Beach PTA, Skyline Elementary and Solana Vista Elementary Schools to encourage parents and children to bike or walk to school.
