Once the bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure mapping project is complete, the current state of the infrastructure will be compared to the existing Solana Beach Bicycle Transportation Plan. The original plan, called the Bikeway Master Plan, was put together in 1993 and had updates in 1996 and 2005, the last changing the name of the plan. The SBBPAC will thoroughly review the plan, work with the city to achieve the goals laid out in that plan, and advise the city on updating that plan if necessary to achieve Bicycle Friendly Community status and also provide consistency with the SANDAG Regional Bike Plan.
