  • The City of Solana Beach is asking for community input on the Comprehensive Community Active Transportation Strategy to identify opportunities to improve both bicycle and pedestrian networks by increasing connectivity and enhancing the safety and comfort of bicyclists and pedestrians. Everyone travels, and the intent of the CATS is to make active transportation an easier and more attractive mode of travel.   • Karl Rudnick from BikeWalkSolana will attend National Bike Summit in Wash DC, March 3-5. The National Bike Summit unites the voices of bicyclists on Capitol Hill to advance bicycle safety, funding and equity.

    Just about everyone learns to ride a bike when they were young.  Balancing a two wheeler was just the start.  Whether you are an accomplished rider or just getting back on a bike give yourself to the extra confidence to travel by bike in our community by taking the Bike Traffic Skills Course for adults.
    Course will cover: 
    Proper bike & helmet fit, safety tips for riding in traffic, techniques for navigating road hazards, emergency maneuvers, using public transit as a cyclist, your legal rights & responsibilities
