    Comprehensive Active Transportation Strategies Grant
    The City of Solana Beach has prepared a Comprehensive Active Transportation Strategy (CATS) plan that, if adopted, would lay the foundation for improved bicycle and pedestrian facilities within the City and connections to adjacent jurisdictions and greater regional networks over the next 15 years. A Negative Declaration (ND) has been prepared in conformance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and is being made available for a 30-day public review comment period, beginning April 22, 2015 and ending May 21, 2015.

    Comments regarding ND must be made in writing to: Dan Goldberg, Engineering Department, City of Solana Beach, 635 South Highway 101, Solana Beach, California 92075 or by e-mail to [email protected] and must be received by 5:00 p.m. on the last day of the public review period (Thursday May 21, 2015).

    Copies of the CATS plan, ND, and supporting documents can be viewed at the Engineering Department, City of Solana Beach, 635 South Highway 101, Solana Beach, California 92075 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (note that City Hall is closed on Friday April 24 and May 8). Additionally, hard copies of the document may be reviewed at the Solana Beach Library at Stevens Ave. Project documents may also be obtained from the City of Solana Beach in PDF format on a compact disc (CD) or by visiting the announcements section of the City’s website.

    Just about everyone learns to ride a bike when they were young.  Balancing a two wheeler was just the start.  Whether you are an accomplished rider or just getting back on a bike give yourself to the extra confidence to travel by bike in our community by taking the Bike Traffic Skills Course for adults.
